So, sometime last year I and a couple of other people were in the car just leaving an outreach. Several discussions took place and suddenly a young graduate (interpretation meaning, just got a job and thus doesn’t have that much money to spend on a car) was complaining as to how he was shopping for a kia picanto (worth around $11,500)

and other people around at that moment were staring at him like his water just broke or he needed to change his sanitary pad. Well, just look at the car, you can’t blame them much.

Anyways, about 2 weeks ago, a reader complained about how UNAFFORDABLE many of the cars I review are. In his words “how many people could buy those cars”. Sadly that’s a fact. So today I want to present you with a list of cars that are quite affordable without the expense of reducing your testosterone level or the need verbally negotiate to increase your bride price.

FIAT  500($15,500)

makes a statement

Undoubtedly, this car is HOT, it is just about the same size as the Picanto. This however would take you there faster, with more stability and definitely more style.

Honestly, for a guy it doesn’t say buff, but it says good taste. For a girl, cute and cuddly. And on the inside, it has all the basic tech needed and a little extra. You pay for the entertaining drive experience.

HONDA JAZZ/FIT ($15,425)

Not sure why they use different names in different location. The Jazz, is in some way a little mellow(uninteresting) on the looks, but from the front its quite dashing, 

equipped to the max for its price range

not to forget that its much bigger, so it’s more money, but more value too. And its Honda, so durability and reliability is also sure. I think this packs more value for money.

HYUNDAI ACCENT ($14,545)

Personally this is one of Hyundai prettiest cars. For a youngling even for a middle aged person. You don’t get the power in driving or speed, but you get the economy, style and even space.

KIA SOUL ($14,400)

This kind of gets to your soul. You can’t say its ugly yet you can’t out rightly say it’s beautiful. It’s more of a fashion statement, like a trendy vehicle.

 So yeah, definitely cool. And it is bigger and just slightly more expensive than the Picanto. Truth about Kia though is, the design would change real soon and you would hate your present model, plus something unnecessarily breaks within about 2years.

KIA RIO ($13,600)

err, the rear kind of looks like a SEAT, very original KIA

This is the next in line after the Piacanto. But its finer, bigger, faster, more stable and some say even faster. 

 

note: this is not the base version

Would easily take you on your daily routine routes and you would still look stylish (seriously, why buy the Picanto).

TOYOTA YARIS ($14,370)

lower and more balance, more aerodynamic

personally, the interior is DULL

Err, it is a Toyota, so it gets the job done, maintenance is cheap and you can depend on it. Amazing thing is that there is so much improvement from the previous design.

OH, almost forgot to say fuel economy. Obviously you do not power and speed, but it definitely surpasses the picanto (what doesn’t).

MAZDA 2 ($14,720)

Looks a little small, but the styling is sleek. Space is not soo much either but Mazda is really working on achieving high efficiency, aerodynamics and economy.

 This is one of the cars that gives so much tech for the little price tag.

FORD FIESTA ($13,200)

a working class dude can use this without his pride getting damdaged

looks weirdly tall, but okay

this is another car daily city car with great value for money

They made one of the very first mass produced affordable cars, no surprise they can design such good looking, fantastic engine, spacious and good quality material. For extra $200 you could get the 5 door hatch.

CHEVROLET SONIC ($14,185)

also comes as a sedan

young, girl or guy, this is for you.

I believe (assumption) that this replaces the Aveo and this does a fantastic job at that. The design is quite artistic and contemporary. 

At the same time it’s also spacious, economical and basic tech. The Americans are really serious.

CHEVROLET SPARK ($12,185)

like a mini sonic

This is the smallest in the range, and its cheap cheap cheap. It also takes from the Sonic the artistic and classic design.

It replaces the Matiz and is a little bigger but the space generally is not fantastic. But it’s still a cool car. Don’t let the looks deceive you, its not exactly sporty, but for a fresh graduate you better manage it.

VAUXHALL CORSA (£9,495)

Still one of the best selling small cars in the UK. They have redesigned the new model and made it more economical with the engine making it cheaper to run and to own. The quality of material used has even increased a bit.

HYUNDAI I20 (£9,745)

This basically applies to those in the UK, cause when you do the conversion it is more expensive than the Accent (which is bigger and better) in the USA. This new design is slightly (still not the funnest of cars)cooler and nicer than the former geeky one.

So, finally please do not waste money, as a young graduate spend money wisely and get everything you need from a car as much as possible. Hope this helps.

BEHOLDERS CAN BE BLIND

A friend of mine once said "but the beholder could be blind" pointing out that somethings are just darn UGLY. In the same light i would like to point out that some things are undoubtedly beautiful.

Okay, so was planning on writing on something entirely different, but my innamorata is In Italy at the moment and knowing my love for cars ,kept going on and on and on about Italian cars, on  (maybe I exaggerated a little). Anyways then it hit me, the Italians are amazing, how? You ask……..

Clearly, consist of beautiful cities with artifacts and ancient relics. Somehow the structures are old but still look very modern and a lot of cities serve as tourist attractions, Milan, Florence, Rome etc (etc is basically used when you have exhausted your list)

As if these were not enough, it is like the fashion capital. Basically, these guys have got style. The Chinese and Indians have computer knowledge, the Kenyans and Jamaicans are the best athletes, Nigerians are the best (hmm, …..etc), well the Italians are so hot on style.

Outright Genius

So I was thinking when the Italians are not creating amazing architecture or crafting naked men feeling comfortable with their balls around each other, they do beautiful Italian cars, and it so happens, yes when I see them I get a chill through my spine.

 THE 500(Fiat 500)

Like a mini roman soldier.I can boldly class this as the most beautiful small car yes cuter than the mini. I am over 6 feet, so I hate small cars, but this is woow to look at. Has all the curves in the right places.Its small and great for driving around in cities and towns with small roads.

Since its small they try to make it personal with possible requested combos. Like 15 paint color (seems small but how many do we need, phantom has over a thousand and we get to see only black and silver), custom wheels, seat covers, decals, interior color combo, hood and body side graphics

SEXY MISS GIULIETTA(Alpha Romeo Giulietta)

Their slogan – “without soul, we would be mare machines”. Another amazingly styled creation, you can’t call these a car, no, it is a creation. Honestly, I don’t even know the words to use to describe this. I really don’t know how they come up with the look for the grill, but it is sure outta this world.

This fluid baby definitely has emotions that you just cannot hurt. I am so taken aback by the beauty that I forgot to mention how sporty and aerodynamic this car gets.

 BERLINETTA(Ferrari F12 Berlinetta)

Cloud 9.  This is a master piece. A mad combination of aerodynamics and exquisite proportions all round.

In as much as it is gorgeous, every line, contour curve and dip is not just for a pretty look but make air to glide across the car more easily making the car move faster and better. Oh yeah, the engine is in the front just like normal cars.

Honestly you cannot talk about a Ferrari and not talk about the technological styling. By the way, every f1 driver would love the tail design.

 

The interior combines’ sportiness as you see a classic line up of gauges, but you can also see maximum comfort and luxury in the lay out and seating. They even made space for your bags.

PORTE(Maserati Quattroporte)

 I think this is probably top 2 best luxury sedans on the market (with Jaguar XJ), the rapid is outdated, Panemara looks kind of weird, Mercedes boring etc. This car  borders on the phantom and Mulsanne levels (please note, borders, it is not there yet). The old one looked kind of dull. This is ravishing (don’t even care if that’s the right usage).

The exterior design combines sports and class, it’s like it’s in the top of ANY class you bring it to- business, pleasure or just getting wild. Lovely partial coupe contour lines and its quite extended creating fantastic leg room on the inside.

On the inside you see, it has exposed tech, but they have somehow kept those as simple and plain as possible, polished with the bests of materials.

AVENTADOR

This is probably the most intimidating name on the market “AVENTADOR” . Okay, so all the cars you have seen so far has used curves to deceive your eyes. Well curves on almost anything looks good (may be except Donatella, nothing can help her case).  

Anyways, these guys successfully used straight lines and sharp edges to make what some people refer to as one of the best looking cars. It looks like a monster that you want to cuddle(cute and scary).

 OWN IT ALL(Chrysler Group)

Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300, Dodge challenger and Jeep Grand Cherokee

So apparently Fiat who also owns (90%) Ferrari  bought some shares in Chrysler(58.5% they basically own it, Chrysler is now Italian), hence you see the styling improvement to the classic Chrysler designs and also the fact that Lancia (also owned by fiat looks like Chrysler).

Sooooo, beauty is a very important part of our lives, without it, well, y live. So I encourage you all, do some thing artistic, but please nothing with naked dudes. Mucho gracias.
